As we head into the latter part of the golf season, the Golf Professional Staff would like to share a few friendly reminders to help ensure an enjoyable experience for all members and guests while on club property.
Golf Facility Dress Policies
Members and their guests are responsible for dressing in “good taste” when using the golf facility which include the golf course, putting green, and driving range. The attire must be in harmony with the spirit of the game of golf.
- A gentleman’s golf shirt must be tucked in and have a collar.
- Hats should be worn with the brim facing forward and should be removed when entering the Clubhouse.
- Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited.
- Inappropriate golf attire includes fitness attire, tennis attire, bathing suits and swim attire, denim, and cargo shorts.
Course Care
- Replace divots on the fairways with turf if they are reusable. If not, please use sand to fill divots.
- Avoid newly sodded areas.
- Enter and exit the bunkers at their low points and leave the rakes outside the bunkers.
- Please pick up broken tees on the course, especially on the par 3s.
- Repair ball marks made on the green. This will keep the greens and root system healthier and provide a better putting surface during the season.
- Please scatter on and off paths at different locations to vary cart traffic patterns.
- Without handicap flags, we ask that you please keep carts at least 50 yards away from greens.
- Carts must stay on the path on all par 3’s.
- On Cart Path Only days, please be sure to keep all four tires on the path at ALL times. When coming upon an area with no path, please keep the golf cart in the rough on the highest area at all times.
Cart Usage
- Members who sign up for the golf cart annual trail fee program and pay the upfront charge will be able to use their personal cart for play at no charge. Upon signing up, golf carts are required to be inspected by a High Meadows golf staff professional before being accepted into the trail fee program.
- Members on the trail fee program will be allowed to use club carts per the golf shops discretion
- All members who are NOT on the trail fee MUST use a club cart and will be charged a cart fee for the appropriate holes played.
- Do not attempt to drive golf carts over newly installed directional wooden posts
- Keep all four wheels on the path when parking around tees and greens.
- Follow all wooden directional posts to vary cart traffic.
- Drive golf carts in the fairway, cut grass when possible. Avoid driving in the maintained rough, fescue grass, and through the tree line.
- Avoid driving in areas where the grass is weak from too much shade.
- Please use the cart path on #13 when approaching your second shot. For your safety, we ask that you do not take your cart down the steep slope.
- Please reach out to the golf staff if you would like to have your cart detailed, charged, filled with gas, or for maintenance check.
- You must have a VALID DRIVERS LINCENSE to operate any golf cart on club property. This includes but not limited to: The golf course, around the practice facilities, and roads within the community. Our number one goal is the safety for all our members and guests.
Guest Policies
To better serve your guest(s) and provide an exceptional experience, the golf staff asks that you please make us aware when you plan to have guest(s) on property. We also ask that you check in the golf shop before you start your round. This will help the golf professional staff to welcome them to the club by name and provide them with a custom High Meadows bag tag.
- Tuesday through Friday: Members may host up to 7 guests. Guests are considered accompanied when the member plays in the group or accompanies them to the first tee.
- If you plan to have more than 7 guests at one time, it will require approval from the golf professional staff.
- Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: Members may host up to 3 guests. All guests must be accompanied by a member in each group. Groups that exceed this guest number will need approval from the golf professional staff.
Pace of Play
All rounds of golf must be completed in under four hours. The golf professional staff requests that slower groups allow faster groups to play through, regardless of their size. Members and guests who choose to walk will be held to the same pace-of-play standards as those riding in carts. Maintaining a steady pace ensures a more enjoyable experience for you and everyone else at our club.
Member Play
Always check in with a golf staff professional before beginning your round. Members playing after operating hours are kindly asked to make the Golf Shop aware beforehand. Members without a trail pass wanting to play after operating hours are asked to please get in touch with the Golf Shop, and a golf professional will have a cart ready upon arrival. Players beginning on the first tee will be given priority.
